Dr Soniya Dhama, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematical Science

Dear Students,

I am honored to share my experiences and observations regarding our institution's remarkable journey towards becoming a women-friendly campus. Over the past years, I have witnessed tremendous strides in fostering a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for women on our campus. As a faculty, I have had the privilege of actively participating in and contributing to this transformative process. One of the key elements that sets our institution apart is its commitment to gender equality. The administration has taken proactive steps to ensure that women have equal opportunities for growth and success. Women are represented in various decision-making bodies, enabling them to contribute their unique perspectives to the growth and development of our campus community.

Safety is a fundamental concern for any women-friendly campus, and our institution has placed it at the forefront. Women are provided with the necessary support and resources to report any incidents and seek redressal in a confidential and sensitive manner. The establishment of safe spaces and designated support centers has been instrumental in creating an environment where women feel secure, both physically and emotionally. Another significant aspect of our women-friendly campus is the availability of comprehensive support services. Flexible working arrangements have been introduced to support working mothers and ensure a healthy work-life balance.

In conclusion, I am proud to be part of an institution that prioritizes gender equality and strives to create a women-friendly campus. The progress we have made is a testament to the collective commitment of our administration, faculty, staff, and students. By promoting a safe and inclusive environment, fostering gender sensitivity, and providing comprehensive support services, our institution has become a shining example of a women-friendly campus. I am confident that we will continue to break barriers, challenge norms, and empower women to become leaders and change-makers in their respective fields.
