Course Reflection

Computer Science and Design Engineering and Data Science aim to develop design and data handling skills in computer science graduates which will make them well versed with different tools and technologies required for today’s digital media world. Design Engineering has scope in several fields like simulation, animation, gaming and virtual/augmented reality, whereas data science is relevant to every industry which is working with huge amounts of data.  The institute is very much involved in the petroleum industry and their design skills can be utilized in developing simulated processes, creating digital twins of wells and process modeling; data science skills will be helping engineers to manage lots of wells and other survey data and production process data. The emphasis is to strengthen the interdisciplinary approach within students so that they remain relevant for the current and future technological developments at national and international levels.

The CSE Department of the Institute is furnished with skilled faculty members aided by industry resource persons. The course structure for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Design Engineering as well as data science is well designed and is at par with the courses offered by most International Universities in this domain.

• As nearly all the industries are moving towards automation, a lot of work in software designing, creating digital twins, including all aspects of animation is required. As the institute has several departments and also faculties having different specializations, the students will get a chance to develop their skills strongly during the foundation.
