B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing

In the year 2021, a new four year B.Tech programme in Mathematics & Computing has been started at RGIPT with the goal of setting the stage for developing skills in mathematics and computer science. This program is unique in the sense that, the course curriculum of this programme contains the balanced contributions from Mathematics and Computer Science stream. An attractive feature of this academic programme is that the students can specialize themselves in one of the following streams:

• Mathematical Modeling and Simulation
• Artificial Intelligence
• Financial Mathematics

by appropriately choosing their elective courses. There is also a provision of some research activity through a series of Project work.

Though the programme is new, in the same vein of other undergraduate programmes at RGIPT we expect its success through job placements at IT & energy sector, oil industry, software companies, and admission for higher studies at premier institutes.

Ph.D. in Mathematics and Statistics:

The Ph.D. Program offers an exciting and unique opportunity to students for pursuing research in several areas of Mathematical Sciences (including Statistics). An important component of this programme is to inculcate a habit of independent thinking and initiative by the candidates in planning and execution of the research work. The emphasis is on understanding the scientific basis and theoretical background involved in solving problems of practical importance using multidisciplinary approach.
