RGIPT, Sivasagar encourages students to engage in sports activities for their overall development. The sports facilities are run by the Sports Council. Students are provided sports equipment in campus as well as hostels. There institute has items for different outdoor sports like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton and indoor sports like carom, chess, ludo. The annual sports event of the institute held is known as Krida Oorja.
