Dr Shailesh Kumar

Dr Shailesh Kumar is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Petroleum Engineering and Geoengineering, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Jais Amethi, UP, India. Previously, He has worked as an Assistant Professor of Petroleum Engineering at the Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE) Visakhapatnam, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) Dehradun, and Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab. He received his PhD in “Studies on efficient transportation of Indian heavy crude oils through offshore pipelines”, a research work in the area of Flow Assurance, from the Department of Petroleum Engineering, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. He is also a graduate of Petroleum Engineering. He has performed vast studies on physico-chemical, thermal, and rheological characterization of Indian heavy and waxy crude oils and has around nine years of experience working on upstream oil and gas-related research. He has authored several research papers in international SCI-indexed journals. He has been working on developing additives for various oil field problems, especially in the areas of Flow assurance, Drilling Fluids, and Enhanced Oil Recovery. He always seeks opportunities to work and collaborate on various upstream petroleum industry problems.
