About RGIPT Sports Council
The RGIPT Sports Council is the backbone of all sporting activities at the institute. It promotes a culture of fitness, sportsmanship, and teamwork by organizing a wide array of events, tournaments, and training sessions for both indoor and outdoor sports. With a vision to build leadership and instill a lifelong passion for sports, the council is dedicated to fostering talent and unity among students.

Our Events
Kridotsav
Kridotsava was a large-scale intra-block sports competition with over 700 students participating. The event aimed to foster teamwork and friendly rivalry between hostels through sports ranging from track and field to team games like kabaddi and football.
National Sports Day
Celebrated to promote physical fitness, this day featured fun activities like races and musical chairs for the children of staff, while hostel residents competed in push-up, plank, and powerlifting challenges.
Basketball & Volleyball Leagues
This outdoor basketball and volleyball league was held to promote skill development and team coordination. A total of 148 students participated, demonstrating significant enthusiasm and competitive spirit.
Indoors League
This event kicked off the season with indoor games like Table Tennis, Carrom, and Chess. It saw enthusiastic participation from over 100 students, showcasing their strategic skills.
Box Cricket League
This tournament brought together 120 players from 18 teams for 49 exciting matches. Held at the Lawn Tennis Court, Team Bajrang emerged as the champions.
Mini Marathon
Organized as a pre-event for Energia'25, the Mini Marathon promoted health and unity. Participants ran a two-lap route within the campus, creating an energetic build-up for the main sports festival.
Yoga Day
The institute celebrated International Yoga Day with an indoor session that saw inclusive participation from 100 individuals (70 males and 30 females).
Annual Sports Fest – Energia
Energia is the flagship annual sports fest of RGIPT. It brings together athletes and enthusiasts from across the nation for a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship, competition, and unity.

Inter-College Championships
Multiple gold medals in regional and national inter-college tournaments across various sports.
Victory at Tvaran-25
Team RGIPT secured top honours at Tvaran-25, the annual sports fest of KNIT Sultanpur, winning in Badminton, Basketball, Table Tennis, and Football, along with a Runner-Up finish in Powerlifting.
Success at Udghosh’25 - IIT Kanpur
Our contingent made a mark at IIT Kanpur's fest, Udghosh’25. Himanshu Yadav secured a Gold Medal (U66kg) and Shantanu Mondal won a Bronze Medal (U71kg) in Powerlifting, showcasing RGIPT's growing excellence in sports.
