About Energy Institute, Bengaluru (centre of RGIPT)

EIB is envisioned to be a distinguished research institute offering cutting edge academic programs and research in the domain of energy. The purpose of EIB is to drive societal growth through research and development activities, Energy innovation and entrepreneurship. The Institute aims in conducting leading-edge industrial, technological, and fundamental research in the field of energy; Offer quality education to students; offer shot-term training course to Industrial professionals in the field of energy. The Institute is also aiming to create an Energy Experience Centre, Incubation Cell /E-Cell, Office of licensing and commercialization to facilitate immersive experience of energy technologies.

About the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at RGIPT

Set up in 2020, the Department focuses on prospering the country's Computer Science and Engineering Industries by bringing forth industry-ready students who can function in the demanding and upcoming sectors.

The Department is equipped with very knowledgeable faculty members and a technical workforce assisted by industry resource persons. The undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the Department are at par with the courses offered by most International Universities in the domain of Computer Science and Engineering.

The Department is engrossed in enabling expertise in the domain through its modern education and advanced research facilities. It lets them understand, develop and apply the knowledge gained in the following fields, which are required in the Computer Science and Engineering industry:

• B Tech in Computer Science and Engineering
• B Tech in Information Technology
• B Tech in Computer Science and Design Engineering
• IDD in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence)

About the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at RGIPT

The Department offers degrees in four majors: Microelectronics, Digital techniques & Instrumentation, Communication systems; and Electric Vehicle (E-Vehicle). The vision of the department is to offer educational and professional ethics of global standards through innovative methods of teaching and learning with practical orientation. The department aims to foster a culture of innovation and research in the field of Electrical and Electronics engineering by promoting the establishment of labs, centers of excellence, and enable students to develop skills for solving complex contemporary technological problems and providing a framework for promoting collaborative and multidisciplinary research activities. It aims to produce quality professionals in this field to compete globally and excel by carrying out basic and applied research in emerging technologies by forging strong industry-institute interaction.

The department offers four-year (comprising of eight semesters) Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) programmes in two disciplines.

• B Tech in Electrical Engineering
