The Jais campus of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology on March 23, 2023 witnessed the inauguration of a newly constructed building of the CPWD office along with Bhoomi Poojan and the foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction of a new academic block.

Both ceremonies were performed in a solemn manner, starting with the traditional worship by Purohit Shri Radhey Shayam Dudey, invoking God’s blessings on the proposed venture.

The whole function was presided over by Professor A S K Sinha, Director RGIPT who also unveiled a plaque to mark the foundation stone laying ceremony for the proposed new academic block. CPWD officials under the stewardship of Shri Akbal Singh, Executive Engineer, CPWD, Amethi Sub-Division were also present. Senior Faculty Members and Staff of the RGIPT also took part in the entire ceremony.

This 03-storied academic block “Academic Block 5” is being constructed at a cost of Rs 15.00 crore and will house eight smart classrooms, sixteen faculty cabins, and six state-of-the-art research laboratories.

As per the update provided by Institute’s Executive Engineer, Mr Harish Yadav the construction is expected to be completed by March 2024.
